Our Philosophical Statement
It is the goal of New Haven Learning Centre for Children to provide an opportunity for education and treatment based on the principles of applied behaviour analysis for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), who demonstrate the wide range of characteristics of autism.
Family First
Parents and guardians, at the time of intake, must demonstrate a willingness and ability to be active participants in their child's educational and treatment program.
Fundamental Right
Services shall not be denied to any otherwise eligible person because of race, religion, sex and national or ethnic origin.
The Application Process
STEP 1: Take a tour of New Haven
We invite you to come explore our facilities. Several tours are conducted each year and can be arranged by calling the office at 416-259-4445.
STEP 2: Complete the Request for Intake form
After the tour, interested parents and guardians are requested to complete and submit the Request for Intake form to:

New Haven will acknowledge receipt of the intake form and relevant information. When an opening becomes available, the Clinical Director will review the Intake Files for placement and the appropriate candidate's family (with the child) will be invited for an intake interview.
What happens to my information?
Information shall remain on file at New Haven and will not be returned. Upon request, materials submitted may be returned to the sender with all costs for shipping and handling to be paid by the applicant(s). New Haven does not assume responsibility for lost or damaged materials.
How are candidates selected?
Appropriate candidates will be selected using the following criteria:- Confirmed primary diagnosis of ASD
- Age of prospective student
- Potential benefit from New Haven's program
- Peer match at New Haven
Should additional information about a family be required, you will be contacted and an interview will be arranged.
Tuition Information
Tuition is reviewed annually by the Board of Directors and has been set this year at $57,848. Tuition assistance may be available depending on financial status.
