The positions offered at New Haven include Instructors, Lead Instructors and Clinical Coordinators:
Instructors are responsible for the daily implementation and evaluation of individualized skill acquisition and behaviour intervention programs for learners at New Haven. Opportunities are also available for providing home consultation services to families and to participate in research projects.
Lead Instructors are responsible for the daily implementation and evaluation of individualized skill acquisition and behaviour intervention programs for five learners at New Haven. This includes providing home consultation services to families, training new instructors and assisting in the intake process of new students. Opportunities are also available to participate in research projects.
Clinical Coordinators are responsible for the development, monitoring and evaluation of the clinical programs for ten learners at New Haven. This includes supervising home consultation programs, training and supervising instructors and lead instructors and assessing the skills of new students.
For instructor positions, individuals should have a college diploma or university degree in a related field. Experience working with individuals with autism or special needs is preferred, but not required. Theoretical and/or practical knowledge with the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis is a bonus, but not required, as training will be provided.
Lead Instructor Positions
For lead positions, individuals should possess a university degree in a related field and a minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with autism using the principles of ABA.
Clinical Coordinator Positions
For clinical positions, individuals should have, are completing or are in the process of enrolling in a Masters level degree in a related field and/or have their BCBA or BCABA. In addition, Clinical Coordinators must have experience supervising and training staff in the principles of ABA.
